Research and Innovation
Over the last two years we have been commissioned by prestigious research projects that are utilising large scale computing and emerging technologies to realise their goals. It is always fascinating filming exciting research projects and we realise that the first step towards a successful production is understanding the projects and their key messages.
Nanoelectronics
This project promoted some of the research underway as part of the eIUS project, that was helping to fund research projects through access to grid computing. At the University of Glasgow Professor Asen Asenov leads a nanoelectronics project, whose findings could effect the future of computing processing power. Our task was to make this complicated area of study accessible to a wider audience.
European Neuroscience Grid
A pan-European project involving significant research into Alzheimer’s. The filming took place in London and Amsterdam and two films were produced for different audiences. The project is led by a research hospital in Italy and it was extremely exciting to be involved in such an important, international project.
Emerging Technologies for Learning
This film was produced to consider the development of multi-touch technology and its pedagogical implications. SynergyNet is a Durham-based project and we were grateful for the help of local primary students, all of whom loved this exciting addition to the classroom.
